Creating Shakespeare!
A Worksop Series sponsored by Shore
Shakespeare Company

Shore Shakespeare Company is inviting established and aspiring
Eastern Shore directors, producers, actors, and designers to
explore the unique challenges and gratifications in staging a
Shakespeare production. Our initil workshops will cover three
topics, using Hamlet as source material.

Series 1: Script Analysis Three Sessions- Tuesdays, July 16th,
23rd & 30th. 7:30-9:00PM Centreville Library.

Practice using the language of the script and related research to decipher
location, history, relationships, and motivations.

Series 2: Acting Techniques Three Sessions in September. TBD

Dig deeper into your acting discipline, from basic stage orientation and
memorization, to Meisner.

Series 3: State Movement. Three Sessions in November. TBD

Become more aware of your body and how it informs the character you are
creating. Use the stage to bring dimension and dynamic to your acting.

Later workshops will dig deeper into the same processes using The Tempest, in
anticipation of SSC's next full producti9on in summer of 2025.
